Entire PCB production managed over the Web

PCB production management system provides greater visibility and control of the entire manufacturing process over the Web, combining quality, materials management, performance and traceability.
Tecnomatix Unicam is introducing eM-Execution, a Web-based software package designed to meet the production management and analytical needs of electronics circuit board manufacturers and their supply chain partners. eM-Execution is a single modular, flexible and scalable system that combines and builds upon industry-validated procedures for quality, materials flow management, performance and traceability. These are combined behind a simple, graphical Web interface that allows users, from the shop floor to the executive suite, to access focused information that helps them to make better business decisions and meet critical business targets.

Operationally, eM-Execution enables electronics manufacturers to provide a better level of service to their customers by identifying and acting on critical production data.

It also helps them to them to meet regulatory requirements by simplifying the process of gathering and managing critical manufacturing information.

Other benefits include the creation of easy-to-use, customisable information and status reports, targeted to multiple audiences, from the shop floor to the boardroom level.

Users can use eM-Execution as an out-of-the-box solution, or can configure it to meet their specific needs and business objectives.

Some of the key functionalities include traceability, electronic records and signatures, materials flow management and process verification.

The traceability function helps customers to meet regulatory and customer requirements while reducing risk and improving manufacturing performance.

The ability to generate electronic records and signatures has been introduced to facilitate compliance with national and international regulations such as the US Food and Drug Administration's FDA 21 CFR Part 11 standard.

Materials flow management optimises end-to-end material flow and tracking, while process verification improves the transfer of knowledge and thus the user's confidence in the process.

Other key features include a repair function, that improves throughput and product quality by turning raw test data and repair actions into intelligent, actionable repair knowledge in real-time; production analytics, which provide improved visibility of knowledge for disparate audiences, including customers; and quality management, a critical component in achieving six-sigma quality levels Commenting on this latest release, Israel Levy, chief executive officer of Tecnomatix Unicam, underlines the simple goal; 'To create new opportunities for businesses to extract more profit from their manufacturing operations.

By creating a robust level of manufacturing visibility, eM-Execution drives process improvements - including improved yields, reduced scrap, reduced WIP, regulatory compliance and more.'
