Safety control system extended to Fire and Gas

ICS Triplex has announced a new, universal zone module that extends the functionality of its flagship Trusted TMR critical control and safety system to include Fire and Gas (FandG) applications.
ICS Triplex has announced a new, universal zone module that extends the functionality of its flagship Trusted(tm) TMR critical control and safety system to include Fire and Gas (F&G) applications. The 40 channel F&G Zone Module provides fault tolerant monitoring of any 0-24mA gas detector in addition to any low voltage digital signal with line monitoring such as flame, smoke or heat detectors and manual alarm callpoints. To give maximum flexibility, any or all of the 40 channels can be programmed as outputs, for example for extinguishant release or reset of fire and other alarm functions.

The DSP's are already used for testing and sequence of events recording SOE.

Further enhancements to this local processing capability will include voting of gas alarms and fire inputs as well as self contained local programs with all logic associated with a particular zone(s).

This will enable the module to provide complete field status to system displays without the need for a central processor.
