Pharmaceutical equipment distribution agreed

Robin Engineering Services has reached an agreement with the Chamunda Corporation of India to act as their UK marketing representative for their range of pharmaceutical machinery.

Robin Engineering Services, the North Staffordshire, UK-based experts in materials handling and processing systems, has reached an agreement with the Chamunda Corporation of India to act as their UK marketing representative for their range of pharmaceutical machinery. Among the 'jewels' in the Chamunda range is the Alpha Tablet Press for high speed tabletting operations. The Alpha is a high speed, single rotary tablet press, capable of outputs up to 250,000 tablets/h according to tooling, max diameter 16mm, max fill 16mm.

Available in 30, 37 and 47 station versions and designed and manufactured to the highest cGMP standards, the Alpha comes complete with its own integral PLC control system operated through a user friendly touch-screen.

For operations producing small batches, a smaller, single rotary press is available for up to 55,000 tablets/h.

This machine is suitable for tablets from 16mm to 25mm, with 16, 20 and 23 station versions.

A 12 station model can also be applied to produce tablets up to 40mm in diameter at a maximum rate of 15,000 pieces/h.

The Chamunda range also includes a series of state of the art fluidised bed driers and processors with chamber volumes of up to 475 litre, permitting the processing of batches up to 200kg/cycle.

All the Chamunda machines are manufactured to the highest cGMP standards and finished to the highest quality, as is to be expected by the pharmaceutical industry.

Of significant importance also is the fact that the Chamunda range offers recognisable economic benefits when compared to similar machines already available in the UK market.

Chamunda is already a well-established supplier of repute in the Far Eastern markets and in the USA and views the appointment of Robin Engineering as an important step in achieving similar market penetration in the UK and Europe.
